Prompt Engineer & AI Specialist
Your Mission:
Design, refine, and optimise the prompts and few-shot training sequences that power XOL’s AI classification and enrichment engine. You’ll translate business logic into effective GPT-based instructions, test outputs for consistency, and collaborate with the tech team to make sure responses are production-ready.
Your work will directly shape the AI’s ability to analyse and enrich product data at scale — a core engine driving thousands of marketplace listings. You’re not tweaking novelty prompts — you’re training AI to do real operational work.
Skills & Experience
Must-Have Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience with OpenAI API (GPT-4 or later)
Familiarity with prompt design, system instructions, and few-shot learning
Prior work in classification, enrichment, or content generation tasks
Comfort with testing outputs, iterating, and using automation tools (e.g. n8n)
Clear documentation and version control habits (Git or similar)
Bonus: Experience in eCommerce or product taxonomy systems
Key Responsibilities
Design and iterate GPT prompts for classification and enrichment tasks
Collaborate with Data Scientist and Backend Developer to embed prompts into workflows
Create few-shot examples for vendor/product scenarios
Refine outputs based on QA testing and internal feedback
Maintain prompt library with documentation for each use case
