Data Analyst & Formatter
Your Mission:
To structure, analyse, and clean raw product data from multiple vendors and prepare it for AI processing, enrichment, and export. You’ll transform messy inputs into smart, consistent formats — ensuring our plugin receives the right signals and outputs polished product listings.
You’ll work closely with developers and AI trainers to validate product attributes, run field audits, check mapping templates, and normalise product fields across different categories. Your work ensures that product data isn’t just usable — it’s reliable, scalable, and ready for commercialisation.
Skills & Experience
Must-Have Skills & Experience
Strong experience with data cleaning, structuring, and transformation (CSV, JSON, Excel)
Familiarity with product taxonomies, attributes, and eCommerce data formats
Experience auditing or mapping product fields across large datasets
Confident working with spreadsheets, formulas, and lightweight scripting (e.g., Python, regex, or data tools)
Clear habits in documentation, naming conventions, and data formatting standards
Previous collaboration on remote teams using shared tools (Google Sheets, Git, Notion, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
Audit and clean product data received from vendors for consistency and structure
Map and format data fields into XOL’s standard attribute system
Collaborate with AI developers to ensure GPT outputs match expected data templates
Assist in generating short and long product descriptions based on extracted attributes
Maintain well-structured files and logs to track processed, enriched, and rejected items
Provide feedback to the QA tester and prompt engineers on recurring data issues
